Bridge Milk Fund

The Bridge Milk Fund is an assistance program for WIC or Medi-Cal families with a medical need looking for a temporary solution to 'Bridge' breastmilk feeding until mother's own milk is available during the first month of baby's life. 

This program gifts eligible families a one-time covered benefit of 100oz. 

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Baby must be under 1 month of age
2. Family must have WIC or Medi-Cal
3. Provider Letter reviewed and approved by UC Milk Bank

Steps to obtaining Bridge Milk:

1. Request child's Provider to write a Letter of Medical Need 
2. Email getmilk@health.ucsd.edu your Provider Letter and let us know you are interested in applying for the Bridge Milk Fund
3. Once approved, complete a New Outpatient Family Form
4. Arrange for pickup/shipping of donor milk
