UC Health Milk Bank Bridge Milk Fund
Pasteurized donor milk has much of the biological and many of the beneficial properties of mother’s milk. But some minerals and vitamins like Vitamin C, B Vitamins, and Zinc can be low.
If your baby is getting donor milk from a milk bank and getting mother’s own milk, formula, and/or baby food they will likely not require additional vitamins. However, if baby is getting only donor milk; they probably need extra nutrients . Please discuss with your child’s medical provider and share this flyer with them.
To get all the nutrients needed, your infant may need an infant multivitamin AND a product with Zinc.
Infant Multivitamin should include:
• Vitamins A, C, D, E and B vitamins
Examples of infant products that supply Zinc (not a complete list):
• Kiddivit Baby Zinc with elderberry, C D
• Wellements Baby Immune Support Vitamins
• Zarabee’s Immune Support and VitaminsFor more information about vitamins and minerals visit CDC.gov.
